Alecko Eskandarian has been the subject of many questions concerning where he was born, where he played. It is about time to talk about the forward for Real Salt Lake.
On a summer day in Montvale New Jersey, Iranian-Armenian Football Player Andranik Eskandarian and his wife were thrilled with the birth of their son Alecko. After entering the world, Alecko was following in his father's footsteps. It appeared that football flows through the veins of the Eskandarian.
Alecko Eskandarian started his career in football while a student at Bergen Catholic High School where he received the Gatorade High School Athlete of The Year 1999-2000. He then went to the University of Virginia where he scored 50 goals in 60 appearances, won the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2000, and won the Soccer America College Player of the Year and Heissmann Trophy in 2002.
His MLS Career began with DC United after graduating from the University of Virginia. While at DC United, he scored 20 goals in 81 appearances before being traded to Toronto FC and Real Salt Lake. In the last two clubs, he has not fared well and it is hoped that the situation would change.
His career with the US National Team was No Goal in One Appearance. Only time will tell with Alecko Eskandarian and Real Salt Lake.
