Many people have talked about HMOs and not being able to choose your Health Care Professionals.
The problem does not lie in the class struggle mentality that affects US Citizens and others in the world. Our Health Care Crisis is the result of society. We supported Medicare, Medicaid in the hope of a "free lunch". My response is for those who want "something for nothing" and do not understand that this concept is impossible.
Many of the Health Care Professionals have to study year after year in order to obtain their degree. They have to undergo residency training in order to receive a degree in post graduate work. In the final round, they have to sit for State or National Board Examinations in order to obtain a license. In order to maintain their license, the Health Care Professional has to take Continuing Education Courses as mandated by their State Associations or Laws.
Most of the Medications and Procedures used cost a lot of money to manufacture followed by the stringent guidelines of an ever interfering state and a nosy people who just want to become neighborhood peeping toms. These same people [along with unscrupulous Health Care Professionals and Politicians] are the ones that are damaging Health Care.
