Medicare was a good thing at the beginning but its has become abusive and abused. The abusers and the abused have been the Health Care Professions, Insurance Companies, and the people themselves.
It appears that the problem was in the funding and the fact that the Government wanted to play Doctor, Nurse, and Insurance Company at the same time. The people also had high expectations of a miracle cure, a miracle payment without having responsibility.
Wake up people and take a reality check. Medicare and Medicaid has become an uncontrollable monster which if left unchecked will affect the income of the generations that come after us if life still remains on Earth.
What is the solution for Medicare? Privatization. Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare if it is to survive must be placed in private hands with people controlling their own retirement and health care instead of the State taking care of the needs of every citizens. It is even better if the traditional relationship between patient and provider were restored without the need for state intervention.
Remember that Privatization of Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security is an initial step towards restoring balance in Health Care.
