The problem with the Public School System is the amount of money wasted on useless projects. The Public School System of today has the teacher just teaching to receive a salary and the students to learn or get into trouble. This is just the majority of cases.
The Public School System of today is Anti American as it assigns a district to a person. If person lives in District A, he or she goes to Public School in District A regardless of whether the school is great or not. There is no incentive for the student to learn if the environment is not conducive. The other alternative is Private Schools but they are costly.
What should be discussed is the Privatization of the US Public School System. A Privatization of the Public School System would force the system to compete for the best minds. It would also hold teachers accountable for the education of their students. The parents or guardians also have a responsibility to get involved in their children's education instead of allowing the school to do everything for them.
What about the students who do not want to learn? What about the troublemakers? They can go to the fields where undocumented workers tread and do the work of undocumented workers for the rest of their lives.
