A Statement About Poker

Poker Statement

Unless someone sees a difficulty, the following gets handed out in
Vegas, and goes up on the web site as a fundraising statement, with a
supporting adwords campaign in 'pokerlike' locations.

Free the Internet Gamblers

Your $20 Can Make a Difference

Last year, Congress passed a law to protect ports from international
terrorists.

To do this, they banned internet gambling.

They struck a deadly blow, against…Internet poker players.

No one in their right mind thinks internet gamblers are international
terrorists.  Even most Congressmen aren't that confused.

So we are led to ask:
Who purchased the law by buying a Senator?  And How big was the bribe that bought him?

How do you make a bullying Congress give you back that deck of internet

playing cards?  Remember, until last year, those were your cards.

There's one good answer: Support the Libertarian Party.  We're the one
party that will give you back your right to gamble over the internet.
To support us, go to
http://phillies2008.org and click on 'donate'.

What if you’re not quite ready to bet all on a Libertarian hand?
Remember, we're talking poker here.  You can always bluff a bit.  Your
donations to Phillies 2008 force the Republicans and Democrats to
wonder:

Will you fold your bet on the Libertarians, and come back to them?

Or will you discard the donkey and the elephant in favor of Lady
Liberty?

Make the Democrats and Republicans sweat it out.  They're betting
internet poker players don't really care about a friendly game of
cards.

They're betting internet gamblers will fold and go home, when their
Congressional mommy tells them to quit.

Show them you play for keeps. Show them your money.  Send a donation to Phillies 2008.

Paid for by Phillies 2008.  Campaign contributions are not tax
deductible.  Federal regulations require us to ask the occupation and
employer of any person who donates $200 or more.
