SPORTING HUMILIATES ACADEMICA
During a Friday Afternoon [17-VIII-2007] and in response to the hysteria surrounding a possible Hurricane in America; Roberto turned on his Windows Media Player, had the earphones placed on his ears, and heard Sporting VS Academica.
Since it was during a lunch break and in a public library, it was risky. Regardless, Roberto felt that it was worth the risk to hear one of his favourite team and game.
Roberto was not disappointed as Sporting gave Academica the humiliation of a lifetime. With every goal, Roberto was able to celebrate with bottled cold latte and a milkshake although Roberto could not scream, twist, or shout since he could have problems with the library authorities
Sporting showed itself to be a superior force with its organization, discipline, and tenacity while Academica did not live up to its name and committed every mistake in football. Sporting was able to take advantage of the weakness and mistakes inherent in Academica’s Game Plan.
Regardless, this game was an end to a week that was complicated. Sporting earned its place in first place in the Portuguese Legaue.
Sporting 4-1 Academica
Sporting: 9/10
Academica: 1/10
MARITIMO SAILING AWAY
During lunch, the television in America was still talking about Hurricane Dean. Roberto again found refuge in his Windows Media Player at home to hear Maritimo against Pacos de Ferrerira.
Again Roberto was not disappointed since he supported Maritimo at least during the first half. Roberto was thrilled, happy, and drinking three cold café con leches with three milkshakes in order to celebrates the goals majestically done by Makukula and Edigle.
The second half was agony as the referees committed unjust bookings against Maritimo. Roberto was angered to the point of having a fever and screaming every expletive in English, Spanish, and German. The referees were prejudiced against Maritimo and in favour of Paco de Ferreira. Regardless, the referees ended with eggs on their face as Maritimo sailed away and left everyone behind.
Roberto celebrated with one pint of Red Wine with two Café Con Leche of the Cold Variety, and Three Chocolate Milkshakes.
Maritimo 3-1 Pacos de Ferreira
Maritimo: 9/10
Pacos de Ferreira: 1/10
