A Threat to Free Expression

July 27, 2007 / by rcalvarezgalloso

Chavez and his followers [under inspiration from his masters in Washington DC called Republicans and Democrats, Harare and La Habana called Mugabe and Castro] is already threatening RCTV Internacional.

As it written, Chavez closed RCTV accusing it of “masterminding a coup”. [Personally when I lived in Venezuela in the 1970’s, I saw RCTV and it was superior to the US Mainstream Media of the time and it was mostly a station dedicated to entertainment and comedy].

After Chavez closed down RCTV, RCTV started transmitting via Radio, You Tube, and the Internet. RCTV also started transmitting via cable. The news of the closure of RCTV was well received by Castro and Mugabe. The same news was well received by the President of Honduras [who was once a Communist but declared himself “more Bushist” than Bush is now doing the same thing in his country], the Republicans and Democrats.

Bloomberg and other members of the US Mainstream Media [with the blessing of the Republicans and Democrats] wanted to use the occasion to censor independent media in the USA.

Newly inspired by the threat to close RCTV Internacional, The Republicans, Democrats, the US Mainstream Media, Mugabe, even Castro wants to act against Press TV, BBC,  and other stations outside their national territories.

Those who want to commit acts of totalitarianism against journalists and the media should be arrested and taken before an International Court to be given life sentences or at least be made to do the work of undocumented workers.
